About
My approach
I don’t believe confidence is about becoming louder, shinier or more polished.
And I don’t believe the answer is learning how to perform confidence more convincingly.
In my experience, confidence is far more nuanced than that.
Often, the issue is not capability. It is what happens internally when pressure, visibility or self-awareness increase. Your thoughts speed up, your body feels less settled, you start over monitoring yourself and suddenly it becomes harder to access what you already know.
That is why my work focuses on helping people understand what is happening underneath the surface, so they can stop feeling thrown by these moments and start responding differently to them.
We look at the whole picture: your thoughts, your body, your emotions, your protective habits and the realrea life situations where confidence feels harder to access. I won’t ask you to fake it, force it or becomebe come someone you are not.
Instead, the is about helping you feel steadier, more self-trusting and more at home in your own skin, so you can speak, lead and show up naturally without feeling like you have to perform confidence.
Let’s Start With A Conversation

A little more about me
Outside of work, I’m a mum of two boys and one dog, who holds the very unofficial and highly contested title of favourite child.
I’m also a “I would really love to enjoy this” skier, which means I spend a fair amount of time trying to keep up with my husband and children on the mountain whilst quietly managing the fear.
I love the theatre, a good stately home, holiday adventures and the sea, and I’ll be very unimpressed if I leave this life without having lived by it at some point.
Experience & Credentials
I’m an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with a background in leadership, management and confidence coaching.
Alongside my private coaching work, I have coached and facilitated within organisations including London Business School, BetterUp and Corndel, supporting professionals across leadership, career development and workplace confidence.
I’ve worked with people across a wide range of sectors including media, technology, finance, healthcare, education, retail, charities and global organisations.
Hi, I’m Charlotte
I’m a leadership and confidence coach helping people feel more like themselves when the spotlight is on them.
Before coaching, I spent nearly two decades at the BBC and across the creative industries, working in environments where communication, visibility and presence really mattered. I saw firs hand how powerful it can be when someone feels comfortable being seen and heard. The best communicators were rarely the loudest or most polished. They simply looked comfortable in themselves.
At the same time, I also saw how quickly pressure and visibility could change the way people experienced themselves. And I recognised that feeling too.
There were situations where I felt completely confident and at ease. But put me in a meeting where I needed to pitch an idea, or an interview where I really wanted the job, and suddenly something shifted. I became more self-aware, more tense and much less like myself.
Later, when I became a coach, I started noticing the same pattern in so many capable, talented professionals. People who knew their stuff, cared deeply about what they did and had so much to offer, but when the stakes felt high or attention turned towards them, they stopped feeling like themselves.
That became the beginning of Inside Out Confidence.
